Is Ningguang worth building?

Ningguang is a fun, beginner-friendly 'demolition queen' and practically free as a 4-star, but in the current meta she shines most for clearing domains and mobs fast rather than tanking down beefy bosses. If you love the feeling of one Burst wiping the screen, she's well worth raising. No 5-star weapon needed: the 4-star Solar Pearl or The Widsith already hit hard. Prioritize a Geo DMG goblet and a CRIT circlet, and slot her into a mono-Geo team for the resonance boost.

Sparkling Scatter

Normal Attack
Shoots gems that deal Geo DMG.
Upon hit, this grants Ningguang 1 Star Jade.

Charged Attack
Consumes a certain amount of stamina to fire off a giant gem that deals Geo DMG.
If Ningguang has any Star Jades, unleashing a Charged Attack will cause the Star Jades to be fired at the enemy as well, dealing additional DMG.

Plunging Attack
Gathering the might of Geo, Ningguang plunges towards the ground from mid-air, damaging all opponents in her path. Deals AoE Geo DMG upon impact with the ground.

Jade Screen

Ningguang creates a Jade Screen out of gold, obsidian, and her great opulence, dealing AoE Geo DMG.

Jade Screen is considered a Geo Construct and can be used to block certain attacks, but cannot be climbed. Only one Jade Screen may exist at any one time.

Starshatter

Gathering a great number of gems, Ningguang scatters them all at once, sending homing projectiles at her opponents that deal massive Geo DMG.
If Starshatter is cast when a Jade Screen is nearby, the Jade Screen will fire additional gem projectiles at the same time.

Backup Plan

When Ningguang is in possession of Star Jades, her Charged Attack does not consume Stamina.

A character that passes through the Jade Screen will gain a 12% Geo DMG Bonus for 10s.

Combat Rotation

Fire a few Normal Attacks (Sparkling Scatter) first to stack up Star Jades before the main combo.
Cast Elemental Skill E "Jade Screen" to summon a Geo construct that blocks projectiles and deals AoE Geo DMG (12s cooldown).
Swap in another DPS (typically Pyro) to walk through the Jade Screen for the +12% Geo DMG buff for 10s, then let them do their combo.
Swap back to Ningguang and use a Charged Attack — if Star Jades are up, it costs no Stamina and flings the Star Jades for extra DMG.
As soon as 40 Energy is ready, cast Burst Q "Starshatter" near the Jade Screen so it fires bonus projectiles, stacking a large AoE hit (12s cooldown).
Quick-swap off Ningguang right after, since she is mainly a one-shot burst DPS rather than a field-time carry.
