NIKKE Bond & Advise System: How to Raise Affinity and Pick the +120 Answer
Daily gifts + Advise, picking the answer that matches each character's taste
Bond (絆/好感度, called Affinity in English) is a relationship value tracked separately between the Commander and each individual Nikke — entirely separate from character level or combat stats. It's a relationship-simulation layer tied closely to each character's lore.
There are two main channels to raise Bond:
- Gifting: each Nikke has her own gift preferences; giving the gift type she likes grants more affinity than a mismatched gift.
- Advise (面談 — interview): a separate interaction where, once a day, the Nikke poses a question or situation and the Commander picks one of the provided answers.
Both channels have a daily usage cap, so maximizing Bond growth means doing them consistently every day rather than saving them up.
Advise is a Q&A-style interaction: the Nikke brings up a question, a situation, or a topic she wants to talk about, along with a few possible answers for the Commander to choose from. Each answer reflects a different tone or attitude (e.g. serious, playful, caring, blunt...).
The core mechanic: each Nikke has one or a few answers considered a match for her personality. Picking the matching answer grants +120 affinity — the highest reward Advise can give in a single round. Picking a non-matching answer still grants affinity, but noticeably less.
Since the correct answer depends on each Nikke's individual personality (there's no single formula that applies to every character), the safest approach is to read the tone of the question carefully and pick the answer that best fits the personality that character's lore has already established — rather than guessing at random or always picking the same answer slot.
Advise is capped at 1 use per day per Nikke, so the affinity reward is a daily amount rather than something you can bank up in multiple rounds at once.
Affinity isn't just a cosmetic number — it unlocks real content and real benefits:
- Unlocks lore/dialogue: once Bond reaches certain thresholds, extra dialogue/lore specific to that Nikke becomes available, offering deeper insight into her personality and story.
- Small stat bonus (with a Favorite Item): for Nikkes equipped with their correct Favorite Item, higher affinity also grants a small additional stat boost for that character — this benefit only applies once the Favorite Item is equipped, not automatically for every Nikke just from having high affinity.
Since both benefits accumulate gradually with affinity milestones, the most effective strategy is keeping a daily habit of Advise + gifting for the Nikkes actually used in your main squad, rather than focusing on just one or two characters and neglecting the rest.
