NIKKE Gacha Explained: 4% SSR Rate, the 200-Pull Mileage System & Recruitment Wishlist
4% SSR, no soft pity, the 200-pull Mileage system, and the Wishlist
Every Recruit pull has these odds: SSR 4%, SR 43%, R 53%. This figure is confirmed by 2 independent sources (the NIKKE community and the official June 11, 2026 patch notes).
On Special/Limited banners (limited banners featuring a rate-up character), that 4% SSR splits further:
- 2% — the exact character currently rate-up on that banner
- 1.5% — other standard SSRs (non-Pilgrim) in the base pool
- 0.5% — Pilgrim-line SSRs, drawn from a separate pool
This is the point most likely to confuse players coming from HoYo games: according to the NIKKE community, there is NO official wording anywhere in the game's Rate Info/Recruit Info screens suggesting SSR odds climb with pull count — there's no hidden "soft pity" like in Genshin/HSR.
Instead, NIKKE uses a Mileage (Spark) system: every pull on a Special/Limited Recruit banner adds 1 Gold Mileage Ticket. Once you've collected 200 tickets, you can trade them directly for that banner's rate-up SSR at the Mileage Shop — a guaranteed, non-random exchange, unlike the probability-based pity systems in other games. Mileage does NOT reset if you happen to pull an SSR along the way; it just keeps accumulating until you choose to spend it.
Source note: the 200-pull figure is repeated consistently across multiple the NIKKE community articles (a mechanics explainer plus a patch-notes writeup), but both come from the same site — treat it as internally consistent rather than confirmed by two fully independent sources.
Wishlist ONLY applies to the Standard/Ordinary Recruit banner (the permanent standard pool) — it does NOT affect Special/Limited banners.
Unlock condition: you must pull 40 times on the Standard Banner, and select a FULL 20 characters into your wishlist — pick fewer than 20 and the wishlist won't activate. Once both conditions are met, EVERY other SSR is removed from the Standard Banner pool: only the 20 characters in your wishlist can appear when you hit SSR. This effectively raises your odds by eliminating competing characters from the pool, rather than by raising the base SSR percentage.
Common mistake (a real case reported by the community): selecting the SAME character twice in the wishlist — double-check your list before confirming it.
A few recent banners (source: the NIKKE community notes, cross-referenced with 2–3 independent sources for most summer 2026 banners): the Special Recruit banner for Ark Ranger Black (new SSR, 2% rate-up) ran from June 11 to July 2, 2026 (UTC+9), alongside a set of summer rerun Limited Select Recruit banners for Anis: Sparkling Summer, Helm: Aquamarine, Mary: Bay Goddess, Neon: Blue Ocean, Sakura: Bloom in Summer, and Rosanna: Chic Ocean in the same window.
