Is Dahlia worth building?

Dahlia is a very worthwhile 4-star shielder, especially if you lack protection for Normal-Attack carries like Yoimiya or Ayato. What matters most is stacking HP (aim for around 40k) before topping up Energy Recharge so his Burst stays on time. Favonius Sword is the top pick since it recharges energy and drops particles for the team; if you don't have it, Sacrificial Sword or The Dockhand's Assistant work fine. A 4pc Noblesse Oblige for the party-wide 20% ATK buff is your first farming target. Being a 4-star, he's easy to raise and plays great even at C0.

Sacramental Shower
When opponents or nearby party members touch the Sacramental Shower, different effects will occur depending on the one who touches it:
If an opponent touches the Shower, it will explode and deal AoE Hydro DMG to nearby opponents.
If a nearby party member touches it, it will bounce the one who touches it high in the air.

Only 1 Sacramental Shower summoned by Dahlia himself can be on the field at once.

Radiant Psalter

Appeals to the divine with earnestness and song, dealing AoE Hydro DMG to nearby opponents and granting his party members Favonian Favor, summoning a Shield of Sacred Favor.
The Shield of Sacred Favor's DMG absorption is based on Dahlia's Max HP, and it will absorb Hydro DMG with 250% effectiveness.

Favonian Favor
While this effect is active, 1 Benison stack may be consumed to summon a new Shield of Sacred Favor when an existing Shield is broken via DMG.

Dahlia can obtain Benison via the following methods:
· He will gain 1 Benison stack when his own active party member hits opponents 4 times with Normal Attacks while affected by Favonian Favor.
· After triggering the effect of his Ascension Talent, "The Wind's Gentle Grace" (You must first unlock this Ascension Talent.)
Dahlia can gain a maximum of 4 Benison stacks per Favonian Favor duration.

The Wind's Gentle Grace

When characters affected by the Favonian Favor effect of the Elemental Burst Radiant Psalter trigger Frozen reactions on opponents, they will grant Dahlia 2 Benison stacks. This effect can trigger once every 8s.

Prayer of Well-Wrought Joy

When your active party member is affected by the Favonian Favor effect of the Elemental Burst "Radiant Psalter," their ATK SPD will increase based on Dahlia's Max HP: Every 1,000 Max HP will cause an increase of 0.5%, up to a maximum of 20%.

Pilgrimage Upon Returning Winds

During the day (06:00 – 18:00), your party members gain the Swift Stride effect: Movement SPD increased by 10%.
Does not take effect in Domains, Trounce Domains, or the Spiral Abyss. Swift Stride does not stack.

Combat Rotation

1. Before engaging, Tap the Elemental Skill (E) to place a Sacramental Shower at a convenient spot.
2. If you need it further away, Hold E to pray longer, then summon the Shower at the designated location (only 1 Shower can exist at once, 9s CD).
3. Unleash the Elemental Burst (Q) 'Radiant Psalter' (costs 60 Energy) for AoE Hydro DMG and to grant Favonian Favor, summoning a Shield of Sacred Favor scaled off Dahlia's Max HP (absorbs Hydro DMG at 250% effectiveness).
4. Swap to the main DPS and keep Normal Attacking — every 4 Normal Attack hits landed while Favor is active grants Dahlia 1 Benison stack (max 4 per Favor duration).
5. If a Frozen reaction triggers on enemies while Favor is active, Dahlia gains 2 extra Benison every 8s (requires the Ascension Talent unlocked).
6. When the Shield breaks, consume 1 Benison to instantly summon a fresh Shield, keeping the team protected.
7. The Burst itself only has a 15s CD, but needs 60 Energy to recast — prioritize Energy Recharge to shorten the loop.
8. Weave extra Showers (E) between Normal Attacks to stack up Hydro DMG and keep the Shield-Benison loop running continuously.
