Is Xinyan worth building?

Xinyan is a tricky 4-star to force into a strong Physical DPS because her kit is dated and leans on niche Superconduct teams, so if you're new, don't pour all your resources into her as a main carry. But don't write her off either: her Skill drops a genuinely handy shield, and just leveling that Skill gives Hu Tao or Itto an interruption-proof barrier to swing freely behind. If you still want the Physical route, farm Energy Recharge first so her Burst comes up every rotation, then chase CRIT and a Physical DMG goblet. For the weapon, a self-forged Prototype Archaic is plenty — no need to pull Redhorn.

Normal Attack
Performs up to 4 consecutive strikes.

Charged Attack
Drains Stamina over time to perform continuous spinning attacks against all nearby opponents.
At the end of the sequence, performs a more powerful slash.

Plunging Attack
Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Sweeping Fervor

Xinyan brandishes her instrument, dealing Pyro DMG on nearby opponents, forming a shield made out of her audience's passion.
The shield's DMG Absorption scales based on Xinyan's DEF and on the number of opponents hit.
·Hitting 0–1 opponents grants Shield Level 1: Ad Lib.
·Hitting 2 opponents grants Shield Level 2: Lead-In.
·Hitting 3 or more opponents grants Shield Level 3: Rave, which will also deal intermittent Pyro DMG to nearby opponents.

The shield has the following special properties:
·When unleashed, it infuses Xinyan with Pyro.
·It has 250% DMG Absorption effectiveness against Pyro DMG.

Xinyan insists that these pyrotechnics are the apex of performative art, and that they are physical phenomena that have nothing to do with her Vision.

Riff Revolution

Strumming rapidly, Xinyan launches nearby opponents and deals Physical DMG to them, hyping up the crowd.
The sheer intensity of the atmosphere will cause explosions that deal Pyro DMG to nearby opponents.

Xinyan used to end all her performances with this move. She didn't stop because it was dangerous, however, but because she didn't have a more epic finale in case someone shouted "Encore!"

Decreases the number of opponents Sweeping Fervor must hit to trigger each level of shielding.
·Shield Level 2: Lead-In requirement reduced to 1 opponent hit.

A Rad Recipe

When a Perfect Cooking is achieved on a DEF-boosting dish, Xinyan has a 12% chance to obtain double the product.

Combat Rotation

Open the fight with E (Sweeping Fervor) — try to hit 3 or more enemies to get Shield Level 3 "Rave", which also ticks extra Pyro damage over time.
The E shield absorbs 250% of Pyro damage and infuses Xinyan with Pyro the moment it's cast.
While the shield holds (it lasts 12 seconds), swap in your main DPS to attack, using the shield's tankiness to stay safe.
Once you've built up 60 Energy, unleash Q (Riff Revolution): it launches enemies with Physical damage, then explodes for extra Pyro damage.
Weave normal and charged claymore attacks together to keep up Physical DPS while skills are on cooldown.
Recast E every 18 seconds to keep the shield active continuously, and aim for multiple targets to always reach the top shield tier.
Fire off Q again whenever you hit 60 Energy (15s cooldown) to maximize your burst damage cycles.
