Quick guide
This page tracks every Wuthering Waves convene banner — what's live right now, what's coming next, and what already ran — for both character and weapon pickups. Use it alongside the guide below to understand the roughly three-week, two-phase cycle, how pity and guarantees work, and whether the current 3.5 banners are worth your Astrite.

How the banner cycle works

Wuthering Waves runs its convenes on a roughly three-week cycle that splits every patch into two phases. Banners swap over on Wednesdays at 04:00 (UTC+8), and each phase brings a mix of new characters, weapons, and reruns. The list on this page tracks exactly which character and weapon banners are live right now, what's queued for the next phase, and what already ran, so you can time your Astrite instead of guessing from patch notes.

Character banners vs. weapon banners

Every convene banner shares the same base 5★ rate — 0.8%, or a consolidated 1.8% once pity is counted. Hard pity lands at 80 pulls, though most players see their 5★ drop in the 66-74 soft pity window well before that. A 4★ or better is guaranteed at least every 10 pulls, and each pull costs 160 Astrite.

The two banner types split once a 5★ actually appears. Character banners are 50/50: lose it once and the next 5★ on that banner is guaranteed to be the featured unit. Weapon banners skip the coin flip — there's no 50/50, every 5★ pulled is the featured weapon. Pity and the guarantee carry over between banners of the same type, while the standard banner keeps its own separate counter.

What's live in banner 3.5

Banner 3.5 runs in two phases. Phase 1 features Yangyang: Xuanling, the first SP unit — a new special variant of Yangyang — and a Havoc DPS using Sword, alongside a rerun for Lynae and Luuk Herssen. Phase 2 shifts to Suisui, a Glacio Rectifier healer, paired with a rerun for Aemeath.

If you're saving Astrite for a specific phase, check the character page for kit details and the tier list for how each unit currently ranks before you commit pulls.

Beginner banner and the Novice selector

New accounts get access to a discounted beginner banner, Utterance of Marvels, which offers better rates than the standard convene while you're still building out a roster. Sitting alongside it is the Novice selector, which lets you pick which standard 5★ Resonator you want guaranteed instead of leaving it to the standard pool's random draw.

It's worth pairing this with the free 5★ weapon choice unlocked at Union Level 45 — Emerald of Genesis, Cosmic Ripples, and Static Mist are the strongest picks from that pool for most teams.

Should you pull on this banner

Before spending Astrite, check the tier list to see how a unit actually performs in the current meta, then read that character's own page for team comps, weapon picks, and echo recommendations. A partial pull count is never wasted, either — pity and the guarantee carry over within the same banner type, so progress toward your next character (or weapon) sticks around until the next banner of that type opens.

FAQ

Does pity carry over between the character banner and the weapon banner?
No. Character banners, weapon banners, and the standard banner each track their own pity and guarantee separately. Your progress does carry over between different banners of the same type (character-to-character or weapon-to-weapon) as long as you don't switch to standard.
What's the difference between hard pity and soft pity?
Hard pity is the guaranteed pull at 80 for both character and weapon banners. Soft pity is where the odds climb well above the 0.8% base rate; most players actually see their 5★ land in the 66-74 pull range, before ever reaching the hard cap.
Is the weapon banner guaranteed to give the featured weapon?
Yes. Unlike the character banner's 50/50, there's no coin flip on weapon banners — every 5★ you pull is the featured weapon.
What is the Novice selector?
It's a one-time pick tied to the beginner banner that lets new accounts choose exactly which standard 5★ Resonator they receive, instead of relying on the standard banner's random pool.
